Connecting rods are mass-produced safety parts. The production processes mainly include casting, die forging, and powder forging. For forging connecting rods, medium carbon steel and medium carbon alloy structural steel are traditionally manufactured, such as 45, 40Cr, 35CrMoA and so on. In the fiercely competitive market, only high-reliability and low-cost production methods or new materials and new processes can be used in industrial applications. C70S6 non-quenched and tempered steel came into being. After forging, it is controlled and cooled, and it is obtained and adjusted through precipitation strengthening. Quality treatment has the same mechanical properties, so heat treatment processes such as quenching and tempering are omitted, which provides a basis for "clean, energy-saving, and safe production", thereby reducing production costs. Therefore, the proportion of connecting rods using C70S6 material is getting higher and higher.
